Hinkley Point

Complete Doorset Solutions secured the internal doorsets on EDF’s workers accommodation block at Hinkley and Bridgwater. 

Hinkley is the largest hotel-style development in Europe for 25 years, is equivalent to 3-star accommodation, with 1,496 en-suite bedrooms across 44 individual buildings at two key locations.Three storeys, the buildings have been sympathetically designed to complement the surroundings, using natural timber and stone-effect cement cladding, providing distinctive yet subtle exterior facades.

Apartment entrance doors utilising Salto Mifare handsets supplied by Fusion Security Integration 35DBRW FD30 54mm 826 x 2040 supplied by CDS in a Battleship Grey finish with exposed hardwood lipping’s. This provided a highly functional, robust but easily repairable finish when wrapped in a fully finished MDF frame. CDS carried out product specific fire testing with third party test houses in order to meet the project requirements utilising the Salto handle set.
